First sneak boat

The most forward mount will serve you the best with less reflection off deck. Even better fab up a mount to raise light about twice the height currently available in your factory mount.
I use a high beam head lamp but a couple of guys I know use the forward location on the deck but have found that they needed to raise the light as Roy mentioned to reduce the glare off the water while running and gives more adjustment for pointing the light. I don't know if you're going to brush the boat but they also had to raise the bow running light because they cover the boat with brush which covers the light. They both mounted the bow light to the top of the running light. One of them got a warning from DNR because of it. When I had a Four Rivers Refuge Runner I mounted the bow light on the top of the cowling.

I'm not gonna be brushing in the front, so the lights should be fine. Thanks for the insight
