Quill's first season.

It was a quite a journey over the spring and summer training with Quill. That first official retrieve coming on Sept 24th and the last retrieve of the season coming on Jan 7th. She grew and learned throughout the season and has become a wonderful part of the family and such a personality in the boat. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Congrats and a fine pup.

Makes me miss my Toup. Best dog I ever had, super natural hunt drive and a perfect temperament.

Haven't owned another dog since him, 12 seasons now, just don't have the heart to fill his place.

😭😭😭 Dam it's getting dusty in here.

The photos made me Smile Big Time. Quill has Personality Plus. There's a whole lotta good things going on behind her Eyes and between her Ears. May you have a long and wonderful future together.

Best regards
Vince

Thanks everyone, Quill has a TON of personality. We'll enjoy the winter by the fire and on the ice, then training will start again. Have a great winter season.

Beautiful dog Troy! I tell everyone the biggest mistake that I ever made was waiting so long to get a dog of my own. Berta and I just started duck two years ago and there is so much more to learn. image000000(3).jpg

Troy, Looks like you and Quill are off to a super start.

Isn't it gratifying to spend your time with a spirit that really works with you. People that haven't worked dogs before have no clue the way it can be. From chewed up sneakers and poop on the livingroom rug to having that pup put a bird in your hands for the first time.

Well done.

Thanks Todd. Haha, yes all those and more. I'm not sure what brings a bigger smile to me, a labs first retrieve or a beagle as they first open on scent all by themselves. All good moments regardless. Quill had a tremendous first season, lots learned and notes taken for areas to focus on this spring and summer. Overall a great season.
