Should i separate my snow and canada goose decoys in my spread or does it not make a difference?
Big honkers.. yes.For what it's worth in my 30 plus years of waterfowl hunting. I have never not once ever seen speaks or honkers mix in with sky carp.
They normally keep themselves in tight lil groups on the fringes of the sky carp flock on the ground or avoid those areas until the snows have leavt.
Depending on what the scout looks like, you can set it both ways. If I am in an area with lots of littles, ill mix it in all the same. If I am elsewhere and chasing big honkers (in a mixed field), then I will separate. I see it every year and have to set it different every year. Location is huge for me on this subject.Should i separate my snow and canada goose decoys in my spread or does it not make a difference?

Never seen it not once, not with any sub species of Canadian goose.Big honkers.. yes.
Cacks get in with the snows all the time.

Ive decoyed mixed flocks of snows and canadas quite a few times. Again, only the little squeaker canadas though. Ive never seen big geese mixed with snows. If you look closely at my account picture, yo ucan see we smashed snows, but theres all canada decoys behind me. That wasnt just for a photo shoot either. This was a huge mixed decoy hunt.Never seen it not once, not with any sub species of Canadian goose.
Not in any of the states that I have hunted.
Oh so you don't like the term "sky carp"Nothing like the term Sky Carp to show ones ignorance.
my 2 cents
Ohh I guess your butt is hurt too"Flying jerky".... this one kind of an oxymoron compared to everything else you say in this ignorant statement.... Personally ive never made trash into jerky, but the hate that you spit obviously comes from a mouth full of shit.
Carry on skybuster.
Oh so you don't like the term "sky carp"
I'm so sorry I hurt your feelings typing a very common term used country wide to describe a literal flying trash can.
Would you feel better if I referred to them as "pasture pigs"
"Rice leaches"
"Flying jerky"
"White devils"
"Trash geese"
"Trash bird"
Either way I could care less, if you feel I'm ignorant or if your lil feelings got hurt.
I enjoy sky busting "Sky Carp" and I enjoy crawling them "Sky Carp" and I enjoy working them "Sky Carp" down into windsock "Sky Carp" decoys and shooting them in their "Sky Carp" faces.
Hope this helps
I don't care what non hunters aka liberal snow flakes, think about anything. When you disrespect your quarry you do a disservice to the entire hunting community. It may be a common term with the folks in your community not in mine. You didn't hurt my feelings at all. Thank you.
The first time I heard that term was in SASK in 1995 during a roadblock game check. One of the officers called the Snows we had killed Sky Carp. The same officer that called the device they used to check for plugs in shotguns as a Dildo. My My if yer going to earn respect he sure did it with us. I was taught to respect the game I hunted. Began to hunt greater and lesser snows in the 1970's from the East Coast to out west in the USA and Canada. I've heard that term used very little, and from folks that ya consider the source.
We are judged by none hunters and hunters by what we do and what we say. You do it yer way, and I'll do it mine.
Lmao. You mad bro?oh i really dont care. Its obvious in your 30 years of waterfowling, you are the expert on shit talking and decoy setting. You're the argumentative one here, and you are the one who has to be "Mr. Right" on this thread. So be it, just pointing out that many fowl is made into jerky. So technically they're "flying jerky". Every other term you used, in your description, depicted snows as a form of trash. Just made sense that you threw that little oxymoron in there as a description. Apparently you sky bust the shit, eat the shit, and act like a shit. I figured that all out in this quick little thread. Have a great day Clinton, this is all of the shit I can tolerate from a 30 year waterfowler who apparently knows it all lol. You obviously have never paid attn to birds in the panhandle? Maybe give cadillac crew boys a call and get hunt with them. theyll show you a mix decoy hunt. Im sure of that. Or maybe, just maybe, SD has a hunt for you to offer..... Oh but wait... you're Mr. Right, what am I saying, Clinton "Shit" John says NO SUBSPECIES of Canada geese ever mix with skycarp. Lol your a turd and its apparent. I had a great laugh with this one.
