Good day yesterday--survived my 30th tax season and my new Browning A5 20 gauge(which I ordered Jan 2024) finally came in!!

Looking forward to a lot less work hours and a lot more play hours the rest of 2025.

Going to have lots of clean up at my duck land once the river finally get back into its banks at a level which I can release water which in my case could be June or July(river fed by an Army Corp lake which is 8' over summer pool stage already) then will need a month or so of drying time so that I can drive on it. Praying that my moist soil plants will have plenty of growing time once the water is off of it.

Hello. Is there any update on the A5 20? I'm thinking of ordering one and wanted some firsthand experience. I've ran an A5 12 since about 2014. I hope its smaller brother is similar. Thanks.

I have not shot mine yet--still debating if going to shoot it or simply keep it as an unfired safe queen. IF I knew that Browning was going to come out with a camo version of it this upcoming January trade show I will 100% keep the wood stock as a safe queen. I know myself too well and know I will scratch up the wood stock and would feel bad about that. Now a camo version, on the other hand, getting scratched up would not bother me in the least bit(ok it would bother me a little bit).

Been waiting years for Browning to come back out with a 20 ga humpback and it has been/will be extremely tough for me to not shoot it. I grew up shooting a humpback about when I was 12 yrs old and continued until the days of steel shot. Once the newer version of the A5 12 ga. came out, I started shooting them again. Hands down my favorite guns to shoot!!

Thanks. Like you, I want a camo one. I didn't realize they only came in wood until after I asked you. I will wait patiently. My A5 is still rocking the old "sticky" dura-touch, but the stickiness has been worn off from use. I've only ran a few thousand rounds thru it, but I went ahead and cleaned it the other day. It didn't seem to help or hurt.
