Waterfowl season has begun

NY goose opener was a blast 70 birds on the opener and 31 today. But most rewarding of all was my 9 month old dog Ember making her first retrieve, truly remarkable I’m so proud of her!

I got out for our opener Tuesday, and it was wonderful to be in the field again. These are the days we dream about during the off season, and live for. I was thrilled with my 3 geese, only 12 short of a limit.

Nicely done! Just returned home (NC) from a week of fishing in upstate NY in Thousand Islands area. Had a great time and saw lots of geese and wondered about the hunting there. Your pics answered my thoughts. Season has opened here as well but 95+ degree days this week has killed any thoughts in my head of actually going. Great pics and a happy dog! Hard to beat!
