These aren't plans, rather this entry provides info about the eight-man duck blind we built over the summer of 2024. The pictures in this entry have the basic dimensions. The links below are to albums on this site with more pictures for this blind and others built in 2022. I wish I had CAD blueprints but that takes a skillset I don't possess. Much of what I build starts in my head or comes from reference pictures I google. Nonetheless, I think these will be helpful should anyone decide to build something similar.
We built this eight-man blind for just under $4000. I have built this same design for four, six, and ten. This is the first time we've had a rear entry. Instead we typically use one side to enter the blind. This is not a blind you stand up and walk all around in due to the low ceiling. Instead you enter the blind via stairs and scoot down the bench to your gunning position and then sit or stand as you like. We find it very comfortable to gun from which is nice on those days that go past breakfast. When seated hunters are tucked up under the roof and out of eyesight from working ducks. When the time is right you simply take a step forward from your seat and come up though the shooting port and shoot in any direction including directly behind the blind. We store our gear under the bench keeping the blind clear of clutter and the 30" shooting ports are about the right size for any hunter. I've hunted a lot of blinds over the years and in my opinion this design excels in comfort, concealment, and shootability.
