Why, thanks for asking, that is a genuine vintage Alumacraft Ducker... we end up using it as a retriever. Funny thing is, I have taken this out numerous times to get downed birds, thinking we would scare off circling ducks; invariably they will land in spite of a big guy in a boat picking up...

We hunt around the Valley City area...I don't recall seeing so many big northern Mallards as we did this year. We finally timed it just right. Interestingly, we got most of our ducks in the field setup this year, (seven dozen goose decoys with a dozen Mallards) but it was really cool.

This is how we roll in North Dakota. It was cold, this was three weeks ago, first weekend in Nov...23 degrees when I was picking up the decoys on the last evening. Water was instantly freezing on the Ducker. My son shot his first banded bird - a decent Canada tagged in Becker MN - 1 year old...

So for those of you who are unfamiliar with what the Retriever is, it's the exact same hull as the vintage Alumacraft Ducker without the top...slightly higher sides... and a square stern transom for a small motor.
