Maverick is 4 months old and I couldn't be happier with how he's working. His drive never ends, he got his basic commands down & took to water like a fish. He's my first retriever and I just hope I don't screw it up.

Salt marshes, rivers, and streams up in the woods. Depending on where I'm going it can be a 5-10 minute ride or a 30-40 minute ride. That's running around 25 mph.

My favorite is the day after Thanksgiving with turkey and cranberry sauce sandwiches. And it never fails, if the ducks aren't flying, start eating. It could be dead for hours, I start eating a sandwich and here they come.

We go on Columbus Day weekend in October and stay in the state park on the MD side. Usually great wheather, 70s in the day 40s at night. Nothing like camping on the beach 100 yards from the surf. Normally have horses walking through the camp site. Quite a few deer around too.
