    E tec engines?

I just put a 2006 E-Tec on my 21 foot Starcraft and have been thoroughly impressed so far. It puts 3 guys, dog, layout, decoys and equipment up on plane RIGHT NOW. Starts like a dream..... first season for it, but I love it. In fact, my marine dealer said I would be back in the spring to get an...

? for you big water hunters

I always have used sash weights and drift from the top down, as most have here. I pick up by grabbing an end decoy and pulling it out of the way of the other strings as best we can. We usually try to set the strings in a "J," not straight lines. Sometimes the weights do not hold. Does anybody...

    Treated plywood as flooring material

I was pondering the same thing this past summer. I was actually going to use 5/4 treated boards, then decided to go with CEDAR 5/4 boards. It is 1/3 the weight and I'll have no issues with corrosion or the pup...... got the cedar quickly from my local lumber yard also..... Tim

I'm looking at a boat with an Iron Duke Merc with an Alpha 1 drive. Anybody have any thoughts about this setup? I don't have any experience with this and figured I'd ask the experts! It would be a fishing boat for the great lakes..... Thanks. Tim

    Dogs- OK to keep inside?

I am giving serious consideration to a pup, but only if I can keep it in the house. Is this fair to the dog to keep it inside and then expect him/her to be outside in the cold and retrieving in freezing water also? Thanks. Tim

    Boat Camo (or not)

I have mud buddy boat blind, but would really like to try Cover System. I agree that a scissors blind would not require a camo job. Ideally, we park the boat along shore 50 yards away along some logs, and it blends in well (in my opinion). I am more concerned about the view from the sky...

    Boat Camo (or not)

Hi guys, New member here. I just bought a new 18' Lowe Roughneck. It's olive drab. I am debating on giving it a camo paint job. I have read some research about olive drab and it suggests that olive drab does a great job of camoing itself. Every other boat I've had in the past I have painted...
