After talking to Pat Gregory at Westlake, he said I should try and do a decoy in about three hours and not worry about competing it, so I tried it out, had fun and this is what I came up with.

Steve, my son graduated from there Sept 7th, and is now down in San Antonio TX finishing up his "A" school, he is going to be a Master at Arms and will be done with that Nov 2nd, and then he is off to Mississippi for some advance training, then off to Bahrain for 18 months, I guess we get to see...

Kris, yep all four are balsa painted with Jansons.

Got a few done this June, also trying to finish up the Greenwing hen, and I'm also getting ready to paint the two drake Wigeons.

Thanks for the nice comments about the decoy, let me give a little background about my self, I live in Michigan and have been carving for about 6 years mostly IWCA style birds and have been privileged enough to learn and carve with a bunch of good carvers and most importantly great guys...
