TSS loads for turkey and choke choices

TSS is not as compressible is lead. But the pellets are small. I have had my best results to shooting a standard factory full. Not a specialized turkey choke. Most turkey chokes nowadays are rated for TSS if you choose to increase the constriction. Depending on the age of your choke it may...

    NDR: Turkey Shells?

I've been shooting the 20 gauge heavyweight shot, and now the 20 gauge TSS for about five years. The heavy shot was great the TSS is even better. My 20 gauge weighs 7 pounds. And will put an astounding amount of pellets on target even at 40 to 50 yards. Though I rarely shoot that far. I killed...

Yes she is. Very pretty for sure. I love the slight cinnamon color they get on their scapular feathers.

Thanks Bob. Yes they usually stay all winter unless the mud freezes over for more than three days. After today storm I have a feeling most of them will be heading slightly south at least temporarily.

Hi Rod, yes we generally shoot Green Wing's clean through the end of the season. They are hardy little bird. They don't mind the ice and snow at all. The only time they leave is if the salt water mud freezes over completely and they cannot feed. There are five Green Wing's and a black duck in...

Hi Todd, our native East Coast oyster is the Crassostrea virginica. They grow on pretty much any hard surface where they can attach. In the creeks you'll find them attached onto the shells of ribbed mussels that grow along the grass banks. So they are often referred to as Sedge oysters. We...

It's been an average season for my part of New Jersey. Today was our last day and the recent cold snap had almost every boat ramp locked up solid. I managed to find open water at a local fishing port, and was able to use that to access the Marsh. Unfortunately there was salt water ice...

    Season in review -Part 2

What a nice season Brad! Loved the pics. The muzzleloader hunt looked great. It has been an average season in NJ , however teal must've had a great hatch as we are covered in young birds. Here was a nice one I bagged among the young'ins.

    Cedar "Gunning Garvey" Builder Info?

That's a nice Garvey. It's built in the Carl Adams style, I believe Mr. Adams was not active during the 70s. Perhaps the 60s he would've been. There are however many other Garvey builders located along Tuckerton, Greate Bay, and Barnegat area. Sam Devlin took a lot of inspiration for his...
