Anybody got any clues on who the builder of this jewel might have been?
What I know: It was built in Jersey sometime before 2000; the belief was in the 1960's/1970's. Construction is cedar covered in glass with metal capped "ice runner" dual keels. The only thing not original (including the canvas dodger) is the foldin oarlock "cleats" that I rebuilt in mahogany to replace the original oak. Interior was fully treated in Cuprinol sometime before it was (sadly) discontinued due to VOC regs.
Boat is a 12 footer like most of the older Jersey boats and goes like a little bandit with that 55 Lb Nissan two-stroke. I'm getting too old and decrepit to hunt her these days but I would love to find out who built her before I try to find a young hunter who's properly appreciative of the old girl to pass her on to.
