This could be an idea, instead of painting. A long time ago I was building a Kara Layout Boat and I happen to have some camo mosquito netting. I laid it on the top and epoxied over it. So it was now embedded into the epoxy. Looked great and held up well.

My dog got it as well. She was in a lot of pain and would not lay down all night long and every time she tried she would yelp and stand back up. Had to lay her down on her side myself for her to get some sleep. Aspirin seemed to work well. Was better in a few days.

Looks to be a displacement hull and not a planing hull. You can tell by looking at the side and how the shape goes from the middle to the back. It curves up instead of straight back.
