    Decoy shipping costs

I may put some burlapped Herter's canvasback decoys I have up for sale......but it seems that shipping costs would be expensive for a dozen Model 72 decoys. What is the best way to do this? USPS, UPS, FedEx, freight? Thanks for any suggestions

    Trailer tongue length?

Thanks all for your comments and suggestions. I am going to go with the Fulton weld-on folding tongue hinge.

    Trailer tongue length?

I am reconfiguring a trailer for a 15' kayak. I want to shorten the tongue a bit so it fits in my garage better. I am wondering how long should a trailer tongue be for stability, a margin of clearance for turning and for easy backing?

DID YOU EVER SINK YOUR TRAILER AND TRUCK

From Huntin' Dave McCann...."As I get a bit older, I find I am a bit less motivated" I hear you my friend. Now that I am older there have been days when I pull up to the ramp and ice is forming big drifting sheets and and there are whitecapping rollers and I say "not today." When I was in my...

DID YOU EVER SINK YOUR TRAILER AND TRUCK

I carry a small shovel and a 5 gallon bucket of mixed sand and salt on my winter boating excursions just for days when the ramp is greasy with ice and snow.

DID YOU EVER SINK YOUR TRAILER AND TRUCK

On a cold December day I was pulling up to launch my boat at a ramp on the BigHorn River. The ramp was covered in ice. Even though the BigHorn below the dam doesn't freeze up in the winter, on really cold days the ramps can get a thick glaze of ice on them from the water dripping off boats and...

    What was your first duck

Hen pintail that dropped into a small spread of G&H mallard decoys on Ft. Cobb reservoir in Oklahoma. That must have been about 50 years ago.

    I've Been Thieved!

Very cool. When I lived in SD we would see snowy owls sitting on power lines hunting the roadside ditches when the weather got really cold. Many years ago I was doing a sneak on some wood ducks on a small beaver pond in Georgia. Just as I flushed the birds, a sharp-shinned hawk dropped out of a...
