    Tom's Obituary - Service Feb 23

I couldn't agree more phil, tom is the one who helped me get started on building my boat. We had a few awesome hunts together, one nice road trip back before he knew what was going on. I think I'll build a boat with him in mind in the next few years. I'll be sure to chain the motor on!

Tom passed away late last week, Maybe this has been covered, but I didn't see it on the front page of the forum. Disappointed we didn't get to spend more time together. He was a good man.

    The worst kind of disappointment

Puddle ducks can be just as bad as divers, depending on the particular bird. My hunting partner and I once WATCHED a downed wood duck die underwater in stealth mode, clinging to some thick matted weeds 2-3' underwater. We had to reach down with the canoe paddle and poke it free.

    Decisions

Trying to decide between duck hunting this Saturday and going to hunt Wisconsin rifle deer opener. the only birds I've seen flying the last week are swans. I hunted Monday on a classic late season lake and saw the same flock of 6 ducks twice. too far to get a positive ID. some years the...

    I Need A Diesel Mechanic

Eric, I'd pull the plugs and get some seafoam directly in the cylinders. move them around a bit and let it soak. you can crank a couple times with the plugs out to blow it out of there, or you can just put the plugs back in and fire it off. agreed on the thermostat. diesels are amazing...

I haven't had any issues with bleeding too much yet. they keep my INR between 2-3. With my glorious genetics I have no issues making sweet clots LOL

    Anyone else on anti-coagulants?

Yes. I have factor IV Leiden - I will be on warfarin (Coumadin) forever. I tried xarelto when I first left the hospital, I reclotted with 48 hours and was readmitted for another 5 days. Granted most people don't have genetic clotting disorders like me and would probably be fine, but I don't...
