    Wing Survey Question Brad B?

Thank you for the response Brad. I didn't know if with the pandemic they would be staffed sufficiently to compile the results. Like you, I look forward to reliving last years hunts. RVZ

    Wing Survey Question Brad B?

I was asked to participate in the Department of the Interior wing survey last season. I collected wings from ducks and wing and tail feathers from geese. My question is, will the survey data be sent to the participants again this year? Thanks, RVZ

    Shotgun of Choice?

Wow, not a Remington Versa Max listed. I love this gun. I shot a Remington 870 Special Purpose for a lot of years and grew up with 870 Wingmasters. I was gifted a Remington 1100 with full choke and 30 inch barrel from a dear Uncle. I use this gun in special circumstances. Wish I still had my...

Not to many wood ducks yet

Anthony, Thank you for your post several weeks ago and for the inspiration. I had 5 boxes in disrepair. I was able to refurbish 3 and get them mounted on posts in our creek. There are nests in two of them and have not checked the third one. I shot one wood duck last year, so if one box...

Your opinion on motors without power trim/tilt...

My Yamaha is a 2019 with that feature. It is also electronic fuel injected and requires no battery. You pull the starter cord once to ignite and pull again to start. I was very skeptical of this feature but it truly works. Sometimes it starts on the first pull. I did a lot of research on motors...

Your opinion on motors without power trim/tilt...

Larry, I just purchased a new Yamaha 25 four stroke for my TDB. It weighs 126 pounds. I really like the motor, and the release to tilt is on the front just below the tiller handle so you don't have to reach down and behind the transom to release the shallow drive as Todd pointed out. My old 15...

    Wood duck Project

Anthony, Thank you for your post. It inspired me to rehab a few of my damaged boxes. They were beat up pretty bad from trees and limbs falling on them. I was able to put out three boxes this spring on poles in our creek. One box already has an occupant. Here in northern Indiana it is still...

    Mystery Goose

In Northern Indiana I would call that a bonus goose. " The bag limit for all dark geese (Canada, White-fronted and Brant) is five geese, no more than three of which can be Canada geese. Not the answer you are looking for. Nice find Steve.

Fall fishing is great but ,,,,,,

Many years ago I shot a hen Pintail on Saginaw Bay. It hit the water hard and peeled the breast open. It had the same parasite condition. Could the parasite make the skin thinner, or are Pintails thin skinned? It's the only Pinntail I have ever shot.

    Foam Decoy Repair

Agree on the E Allans. It's best to address the bills up front. I use a galvanized 16d finish nail and repair with Gorilla glue when needed. I have used Lou's diver decoys for a lot of years and find them to be a great decoy. Will not use a decoy that does not self right on my long lines. I have...
