Fixing a hole in the boat

I would think you could find some scrap BS1088 in Oregon or Washington.... easy enough.... what thickness??? what size???? I might have extra when I am done with this build.

    GoPro use

I like my Tactacams... and they are local.. only 50 miles from me. They have the BEST customer service.... bar none! Filming your own hunt is HARD! Head cams, will make you sick watching... at least if you move your head like I do... LOL... Barrel cams are hard to keep the camera on...

    Kevlar

I always believe in going wet on wet. It is sooo much faster and efficient. I think you have less room for error as well. HA I bet you would like me to be the guinea pig!!!! I put 2 layers of 6 oz on my Honker... breaking freshwater ice didn't every hurt it... or the FME paint, for...

    Kevlar

Cody, Does it matter if it is against the wood vs in between 2 layers of glass? Aside from sanding and finishing.. I would still think that one would want the kevlar on the outside... as the FIRST line of defense... not that I have hurt either layer of 10 oz glass on my Scaup. That...

    Layout boats.

This is the Layout Addictions Title II. Quite enjoyable to hunt out of. It is made of Aluminum.. 125# they say... I have seen pictures on the scale without paint and splash guard at 118#. It is lighter than my MLB Classic was.

    Layout boats.

I recall hearing stories of a pumpkin seed that barrel rolled several times about 15 years ago. I don't know if it was design, operator error, or a myth to begin with. Generally Bankes make very good product! I had an MLB classic for many years. This year I bought a new layout boat, a Layout...

    Kevlar

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! The weight is additive. I planned 2 layers of 10oz glass... I just started to think that this may get more abuse, even though... I think it would have been strong enough without kevlar, but now is the time to do it. $125 of insurance. It will be between the two layers...

    ATC Mud Boat progress

I am not making it like a Duckhunter. I am making it stitch and glue... Just like a Devlin, other than it is a flat vs a V... That saves time in lofting and assembly.. and fewer feet to tape and epoxy. I have $1000 in wood, and $1200 in glass and epoxy... plus freight. I am doing 2...
