    Collapsible Boat blind - ideas?

I am very happy with the beavertail blinds. I have one on my Scaup, and Brian has one on his 18fter. I like that it folds to one side, leaving the entire opposite gunnel exposed/free. It comes with a travel cover, but I find it a PITA with frozen fingers and over stuffed blind material at...

    Chincoteague Island area curiosity.

Jeff, I have the same experience as you when I lived in Vermont. I was used to having full access up to the seasonal high water mark and similar distance from occupied buildings controls. During duck season, many of the camps/cabins are closed up, and we would/could hunt right out front. John...

    Chincoteague Island area curiosity.

Blind laws in Virginia, apply east of Rt 95. And they suck! I live in Northern VA, where we can not hunt within 400yrds of a licensed blind occupied or not. We have riparian and non-riparian rights blinds. As a land owner (riparian) you can license a blind in front of your property. Later...

New TDB 14 Classic Owner - Transom Reinforcement Advice

I would be sure you use a transom saver support with that hull. I followed a classic being trailered without it one and that motor was swaying a lot! Putting a lot of stress on the relatively small transom area. I have seen some aluminum brackets created that bolt from the top of the transom...

    ISO: Waterfowl Sweater

In my opinion, what all the new sweaters lack are pockets. Don, my apologies, when I re-read the description of the sweater I posted, and said it ran small, closer to a Large, and I got a 15% off discount, I bought it for myself. If I find it too big, I'll post it here first.

    H weights mold.

John, I have one you can borrow. Let me cast up a couple dozen in the next few weeks and then I can spare it for a time.

    Southbay Motorboard Transom

Mine is a 1982, but obviously was not stored outside as it is solid throughout. Found no rot, even in the floor ribs with the flooring screwed into them.

    Southbay Motorboard Transom

Humm, now that you ask, I wonder if you have a hull without the bulkheads (foamed bow and sponsons) then maybe there is plywood within the glassed transom. I wish I paid more attention when I drilled the new holes. Reach out to Steve, he has done many more, and has some on site that he can...

    Southbay Motorboard Transom

There is plywood inside as seen in my photo, and I had another piece on the outside between the hull and the motorboard to space the motorboard out from the deck flange. I followed Steve's method!
