Towing cross country on small trailer tires...

I've not encountered a shaft I couldn't clean with Emory cloth....yet. I also didn't know these existed. I'll have to look into these.

Towing cross country on small trailer tires...

In my younger years I found myself in 10" of snow on a back country rock ramp 40 miles from home in the same situation. It only takes once. Good thought on the thread die! For $30 or $40 you can get a good hex die if the need arises.

Towing cross country on small trailer tires...

Over the course of 15 years I've hauled my old Lund to Arkansas and back many times on standard 12" trailer tires. 560 miles down and 560 miles back. Granted it's highway most of the way. One time I spun a bearing. I carry two of everything including castle nuts and washers and spare tires. Also...

    Sneakbox?

Curious, without titles how do you handle registering out there so it can run under power? Can you get homemade titles for trailers? I recently bought a 12' Grumman v-boat with a bill of sale and was able to register the boat in my name but can't get a title. Boats under 22' here don't require...

    Pouring Decoy Anchors

The purer the lead the better for making the strap style weights. When my dad was employed as the head of a DP department at a hospital he would have the shipping department save the lead containers that the radioisotope was shipped in for the radiology department. We made all our decoy weights...

Arkansas Opener Video from Public Land

Rick, My wife bought me a spinner one year and I used it a bit but was never impressed. By the time ducks got down here they were pretty well shy of boats, blinds, decoys and all things mechanical in my opinion. You can rig up a jerk rig and get water movement on a still day if need be...

    NDR

After some research I believe the vehicle to be a Prinzing or a Rosewood Classic coach model from the 1930s. It was quit unique as was Wayne. He accomplished a lot with only an 8th grade education. For instance he taught himself algebra to complete a test to be licensed to install septic systems...

    NDR

Had to make a dash of a run to Arkansas as my father-in-law passed on Sunday. Arrangements had been made as it wasn't a surprise. My wife's dad wasn't a hunter as an adult but understood my passion for hunting and what it represented to me. Through his contacts I had access to a lot of Ozark...

Garboard vs copper tube and plugs?

I've had two real fun days in my life time due to plugs. The first time was when I questioned a friend in his uses of a rubber type plug as shown in the picture. As luck would have it his plug got pulled out while motoring in back water. After running the boat up on a sand bar we managed to take...

    Trailer tires

Carlisle? Unfortunately no trailer tire is warranted but Carlisle are the worse in my opinion. Then there is Loadrite. Both mine are weather checked but great treat.

    Electric Outboard

I was thinking that was getting into manageable price range as I love my battery powered gadgets. Then I realized we're talking 48v rather than 12v. I guess I'll stick with my Minnkota motors until those battery prices come down.

My dog has always had skin issues, dull coat and heavy shedding. Several years ago we finally had an allergy screening done and found out she's basically allergic to the earth and it's animals! We put her on a salmon and rice food. Her coat is beautiful now and the heavy shedding has stopped for...

    Winter is here. Who’s hunting?

Last day of our duck season is today. Freeze-up last week caused me to put all my gear away then today it's 40 degrees! Go figure. It's par for the course though. Plenty of divers to shoot but not to be. Looking forward to next year.
