    one month!!!

    Sounds like fun, thats how Heather and I got married as well. Pig roast and kegs at the gun club after a small ceremony at Gillettes Castle. Honey mooned a little farther south and west, but had already spent a summer in AK. If it werent for our families being CT based we'd be back out west...

    FS: Cork Ruddy Duck

    Bird carved by me around 2008, HD cork, pine head and tail, and an Ipe keel with brass hardware. From my rig, in great shape but shows some normal wear. Painted in oils. $65 shipped.

    March - What's on your workbench ?

    rather than a slew of actual "workbench" photos, I'll share one of everything I've finished in the past month or so. All in cork, cedar heads, and acrylic paints. Currently working on another rig of giant eider, a rig of wood ducks, and a teal. oh yeah...and a boat.

    February Workbench..............

    Common Merganser for donation to CT waterfowlers banquet in April. Usually I would embed a metal rod in the bill from the bottom, but I decided to carefully drill a pilot hole from the back, down the bill, and sink a 5" screw. I only poked out the side of the bill twice in trying to get it right ;)

    I've been making christmas ornaments from head cutout scraps this year. I think I'll make it a tradition, been a fun mini-project!
