    New - Boat build advice

Eric I remember this well as I was interested in purchasing one back some 10 years and the discussion we had on that boat here that changed my mind.

    New - Boat build advice

I'm always confused with foam, no foam, under floor foam and under gunnel foam. Every boat I've ever bought has flotation foam under the floor. That's not going to be a level floating boat. It's going to roll over. A couple boats I've had have had stern pods and bow casting floors have...

Well that didn't go like it was supposed to... motor trouble question?!?!?!?!

I was told by my Suzuki dealer who is also a Mercury dealer, the motors from Mercury built in the US are 75hp and up. Some motors in the 40hp to 60hp range are manufactured by Mercury in China and some are rebranded Tohatsu. Since I was buying a Suzuki I left it at that and didn't ask which...

"We're gonna need a bigger boat"

Congrats! Hehe... mentioned at least once a year for the past few about a new motor. Finally last season when I was having an on going issue with the lower unit the wife said I think you need to have a new motor so I'm not worried about you!

    Dealer rigging for warranty???

Part of the reason I went with a 30hp Suzuki rather than another 40hp Mercury was the motors are all setup for steering at the factory. In order to get a tiller was at extra cost of $1100 plus tax and installation for a tiller! Plus... PLUS the prop is extra! Add another $200. The Suzuki came...

Grumman Sport Boat mud motor needed

I had a Carstens Bluebill which is similar to the hull design as the sport boat. It rolls right over with a mud motor if you turn to fast! You probably know that though. I picked up a 12' Grumman v-bottom and planning for a ppf motor. Not my first rodeo but I'll go with a kit and put a Lifan...

Towing cross country on small trailer tires...

Hi Todd, yes. I had to do that one time to a rear bearing race that basically welded its self to the spindle. I don't have a cordless myself although I've thought about getting one too. I carry a 1000watt inverter in my road box and use the boat battery for power.

New multi use hub ground blind I just got

I've been looking for years for a multi purpose deer/turkey hub type ground blind that would double for waterfowling. I finally found it. The problem was it was it came up in my feed through Temu. So I started searching for another source and came up with a site called GoPlusUS. This is a new...

    Stupid is as stupid does

I'll admit I complained a lot when I was younger because in my area we are relegated to a draw for a blind location. That's where you hunt for a two year period until the next draw. I wanted to hunt freely so I ventured out to where I could do that. I learned over time I didn't like the shoving...
