    Aluminum version of Gheenoe?

Couldn't find a discussion RE this and inquiries my direct inquires to Gheenoe I've been told they won't be mfg an aluminum version due to Coast Guard Flotation requirements. (makes no sense to me?) I have the 13' high side and I have yet to find a better handling/stable marsh boat to run...

    What's on your Workbench - DECEMBER 2023

Great boat! I was lucky enough to find one forgotten in a barn and buy it as a sixteen year old kid for $150. Hunted all around the champlain valley of Vermont and brought it to Maine with me in the late 90's. Even floated on the ocean a few times killing blacks. Sadly it needed some work...

What was your first set of hunting decoys

I always hunted over my families spread and I kicked in to add to that but I will always remember my first dozen NEW decoys. Shortly after moving out of my parents house and securing a "real" job I ordered a dozen swivel head mag G&H. I still have them and have not added a drop of paint to...

    Decoy rigging

I run kind of the same thing so I can swap out TX rigs and single long line muffin tin weights when I switch to big water. I bought a 500' roll of coated 3/32 cable for like $19 and it seems to be working fine

    New Hellbender 12

Base boat will run 70lbs. I had Derek build mine with some extra cloth where the bow meets the chine for ice/rocks and it pushed it to about 74lbs.

    New Hellbender 12

Just wanted to share some pics of my new Hellbender 12' that hit the water for the first time today. Filling the niche of a layout, trapping boat, family kayak and decoy hauler and is stable enough for my big 6'4 255lb body to stand up and paddle/pole.

    The Most Expensive Anchor

I'm still wishing for a semi-affordable "H" style anchor to come along. Made more muffin tin weights this year as I was too lazy to pull out the router and make my own wood molds for the "H" style.

    Clear flat rattle can

After reading about how new decoys benefit from a coat of the clear flat to slow regular wear and tear I purchased the rustoleum brand clear flat and it was "satin" at best...very shiny when compared to the Valspar. Most recently I hit some old Herters decoys with a coat of Rustoleum Pro oil...
