Friends of ours recently moved to Easton and invited my wife and I to visit this weekend. I already purchased tickets for all of us.

Jeff my wife was looking at the cross trek a couple years ago. I sat in it and told her no way, too small for me (I'm 6'2" and 230 lbs.) she got a Forrester.

I second going to a local tackle shop and buying some from them. They usually have a decent selection.

Congratulations on a great adventure and getting that bird was a bonus.

I found a few scraps of tan cork while cleaning off my bench and decided to put two of them together for a hen GW teal. A chunk of white cedar for a head and a scrap mahogany for a keel and it's starting to look like a decoy.

Steve- might these be that type of decoy? I added new oak keels to the pair of magnum sized black duck stool I have.

I dug out an old decoy and weight to show something different. Layout shooting in 6-10 foot of water we would use 1/4 Manila line that we spliced to the weight and decoy. The lines were 12 foot long. The four pound ring would go over the head and line was just laid down in the stool boat...

That's a nice little boat and I can think of a couple places where it would be perfect.

Here's a Tucker brant decoy, John used to gather pine for the rootheads as a kid.

The broadbill/ brant hunt is of the Verbeke family out of West Sayville. John shot the video of his dad John Sr. aboard his vessel "Blackduck". The brant decoys were made by Len Tucker.

Very nice Steve, they would look great in an ice hole in the GSB.
