    What's on your WORK BENCH ? APRIL 2021

    I found a few scraps of tan cork while cleaning off my bench and decided to put two of them together for a hen GW teal. A chunk of white cedar for a head and a scrap mahogany for a keel and it's starting to look like a decoy.

    decoy line (single)

    I dug out an old decoy and weight to show something different. Layout shooting in 6-10 foot of water we would use 1/4 Manila line that we spliced to the weight and decoy. The lines were 12 foot long. The four pound ring would go over the head and line was just laid down in the stool boat...

    The broadbill/ brant hunt is of the Verbeke family out of West Sayville. John shot the video of his dad John Sr. aboard his vessel "Blackduck". The brant decoys were made by Len Tucker.
