    Stupid is as stupid does

Steve Ark has been on everyone's minds with all the bad publicity from public land so I can see why everyone would jump to that conclusion. I did at first but the one thing that seemed off was no trees.

William This might have been in Louisiana and not Arkansas. I typed out a big post and then thought I better find out where it happened and not assume. Glad I did because some folks said it was on Quachita and not Ark timber. I can't imagine trying to scrap someone waist deep in water...

    Stupid is as stupid does

Some folks really need to learn how to resolve conflict without resorting to violence. Sad behavior from small minds.

    Account upgrade and/or renewal.

Brad The current donation software has some bugs so I am working with a consultant to install an add-on to improve the current donation functionality. I think we will have the new system in place by Feb so hold off and let's see how the new system works. Thanks for asking.

Dave Holy crap. Nice to see you on the forum again. It's been a decade since your last post. Hope you are doing well and come around more often.

Brad That's probably a good idea. Especially since my tetanus is out of date. :)

Ed You were very well prepared. About the only thing to add to your list is a rethreading die.

Richard Yep, the Morgan Lock Corner machine was used for the project. I settled on this design due to space requirements and the tight spot where it will go. I need to access from the front so I made it where the hammers pull straight out, kind of like a wine rack. The hammers are held in place...

Not everything but I do enjoy the restoration process. Those vintage Bridgeport Boy Scout hatchets are rusty. Been on the to do list for two years. I eventually get things done.

Inbetween hunts and being sick I've been making a hammer rack. Almost done. Need to sand, apply finish, and mount to the wall. Should help tidy up some old hammers I restored that have been lying all over the bench.

    Devlin Broadbill - Seaworthiness

Kelley I do. The mods I made wouldn't change the boats posture under power. My mods were to increase storage under the decks, which it did. I added some height to the sides, and increased the deck camber for a total of about 3" increased height. Have you seen the below...

I do. Lost a week of hunting to a bad cold so now I'm going to make up time.

    Pouring Decoy Anchors

Scott When I posted this topic I thought you might have some insights. I was not disappointed. You've given me some ideas on things to try. Excellent info and thanks.

    Devlin Broadbill - Seaworthiness

In my experiences that's a yes. I built mine a little deeper than the plans state but regardless, it rides rough water better than much larger jon boats.

Towing cross country on small trailer tires...

Tod Bearings worry me more than tires going long distance at interstate speeds. Good rubber can roll way more than the distance between CT and WY. Five years old doesn't concern me that much as long as there are no visible cracks. If they are starting to crack no way I'd leave w/o replacing...
