I had a 60 etec in my 16 scaup from aluminum it ran 32 mph 75 and 90 are the same case motor so the calculations from past experience say 90 will be perfect and I spoke with Sam about it and he felt 90 should be fine

I shortened the plans to 17 foot six and raise the side height to 24 and the Stern because there was only going to be 12 inches inside Freeboard...So I added 8 inches of side height and I have a 90 hp Honda extra long shaft for it

Thanks for the insight . I was planning on adding 6 inches of side height so the inside would be 16 inches.... and that will make the outside height 20 sides on the midship bulkhead...the 2nd bulkhead from the stern would be around 18 inches inside. I am also going to shrink the length to17 ft 8...
