    Alumacraft Ducker

I always liked that boats shape and style, only one I ever saw in person though was at a cider mill upstate NY, in the mountains...of all places That size and weight is about right and I'd take one in a second...put me on the list....[;)]

    Sunfish Conversion Question

I once upon a time converted a "sailfish", the 10' version of a sunfish. I removed the top deck, and trunk for the dagger board, and re-framed with pine for the deck, cockpit and gunnels, using 1/4" plywood for the decking. It was light enough to handle,. you could sit on the deck but not stand...

Aggravating neighbor dog and bark boxes

The sonic bark thingees seem to work, it looks like a key fob and is supposed to emit a painful sound that dogs can hear but humans can't. It has helped here with a mouthy pekingese. Doesn't mean it will work in all circumstances with all dogs, but it might be worth looking into.

    decoy line (single)

I eventually switched to braided nylon, about 1/8", a little heavier is fine also, I get the gold color, blends good with a sand bottom, but I usually dip half the coil of line per decoy in net dip, so that you get a gold, black "Tiger" stripe that blends with any bottom. You can make a net...

Southbay duckboat who owns them ?

Let me 'splain, lol and not in any specific order,. It's heavy, once it touches bottom it sticks there, one man can't pull it very far till the tide comes up, it's too big for 1 man, too small for 2. It has no, or practically no rise in the bow, it doesn't lift to the waves but punches through...

Southbay duckboat who owns them ?

Had an early one, around 1978, when Red and his partner still made them.I had a 15hp on it and in my opinion was minimum as a 9.9 was a little weak on it. Used it several years on the S.Shore salt meadows. Finally sold it, They were, and are, a good looking boat, but had several design flaws...

Luke, "here" there was quite a few 2 man boxes years ago, for some reason guys like to be tight together?, lol. Most had a small head shelter like a box blind, They were heavy, didn't tow worth a crap, and tight. Way better to have 2 light boxes for two guys. Even the small boxes were a...

I only have the PFC spray but it works everywhere. Turned a bunch of friends on to it. Only problem is no...

    recoil comparison

I have never shot a 20 gauge anything, A friend recently got a CZ 20 SxS and claims a reduction in recoil, which I'm sure it has with regular field or target loads, maybe ...depending on the gun. So how much difference can there be with 1 oz 20 gauge hunting load in a 6# gun, compared to a 12...

    Classic double

I don't shoot a classic double, but that stuff is I believe 18 gr. something or other, thus very heavy on the tungsten so is probably too hard, others might have a better insight on it, but he should be able to find bismuth, and Ballistics products has a tin plated bismuth shot for reloading...

    Sanford Gunning Box

Gunning boxes work great, but not as a boat, they are NOT a boat in any way, shape, or form. I once had to make my way to my skiff during a super flood tide, the ditches I could wade earlier were now over my head and 20' wide.luckily where I had to go was downwind, so I layed prone over the box...
