    sill raining here from the leftovers. Over four inches of rain so far and it is supposed to hang around until some time manana..Just thankful it is NOT SNOW!

    Just keep at it.. Takes a bit of time to oriwnt wyws, brain and hands together. Yellow is heavy, sugr, notso mucj. You can always place your ballast slightly aft, to overcome..One stool does not make a rig, hell three or four don't either. Keep at it!!

    Eider are not harvested for their down-food and trophies, probably. The info about harvesting from abandoned nesting sites is a lot morepractical.. Considering the Migratory Bird Treaty between Canada, US and Mexico, i would surmise that harvesting for down is a no-no!

    It has a bit to do with the height of the heads. Low heads tend to require a bit more ballast in or on the keels.     Bob, nice thing about Wiley is that you could paint without EVER using a sealer. I used Valoil to make a slurry with sc dust to fill voids in the black cork, which i used for a year, prior to switching to Wiley.
