    Duxbak Catalog Search

They are out there, in thrift and vintage stores. Curiously, there are a lot of size 40 and under. Hmmm, might men have gotten thicker in the last 100 years. I think we have!

    Duxbak Catalog Search

Steve Thanks. I want to add some vintage hunting gear catalogs to the Resources section, like the Herter's catalog we have discussed. I need to carve out some time to do it, but unlike your Herter's catalogs I haven't found a source for yesteryear's hunting clothing catalogs like Duxbak...

    Duxbak Catalog Search

I'm trying to find old Duxbak catalogs and have had no luck tracking one down. My go-to spots for stuff like this have turned up empty. Did anyone here happen to hang onto an old (70s and earlier) catalog?

    BBSB Pond Box Build

I pulled this image from Hank Garvey's BBSB build. It looks easier to achieve than the above idea I had since the chine log angles would change over the length of the hull unless your design maintains the same deck to hull angle front to rear. The way Hank did it allows one to hand plane their...

SJ In addition to Richard's suggestion maybe the "chine log" in the below resource will give you a possible solution. https://duckboats.net/community/resources/barnegat-bay-sneakbox.76/

TDB 14 Classic - "Easy" Fix

Noah You think now is bad, try winter. I always like working epoxy in Aug because it shortens cure time and you can start sanding sooner. Are you working outside? Rain will certainly get in the way if you are.

TDB 14 Classic - "Easy" Fix

I will add that Anthony's method does remove any possibility of the gelcoat separating from the original glass beneath it. Depending on how the hull was laid up that bond may or may not be tenacious. It is a lot of work to take all the gelcoat off. I think it were me if I saw any signs of...

TDB 14 Classic - "Easy" Fix

Noah I like my Makita sander polisher with the 3M soft backing pad for such tasks but a 6" random orbital will get it done too, just longer. The pad gives you very good control of the sanding disc and pretty much eliminates gouging and grooving the stock hard rubber pads are notorious for. My...

Jack Good to see you are still around and even better you are making plans for another season. Hopefully in a few months we'll see pictures of your boat with some birds on the deck.

TDB 14 Classic - "Easy" Fix

That latest damage discovery looks like a repair job for concrete ramp damage or trailer mishap. The previous owner's statements do no align with that, as you noted. That's a pretty big area for no glass. I've seen small epoxy-only patches but given the size of that area I'd feel better had...

? about ll bean decoy value

I think it is very dependent on where you sell them. For certain they will sell quickly at $30 a piece. At $100 each time on the market will run quite a bit longer. Are you looking to unload or just curious about their value?

    E-bikes, pretty much a non-issue for me

Dave Like Henry mentioned, I would email one or more of my county's conservation officers and ask if there are exceptions for hunters over a certain age or with physical impairments. It might be a simple as filling out a form with a statement from your doctor that would allow you...
