I'm building a new roof for the blind of a TDB 14 foot classic. I'm missing a key measurement -- the width of the blind at the top (right to left). Can anyone help me out? Many thanks.

I managed to lose one of the couplings that pivots and connects two parts of the blind. Anyone know where I can get parts for aTDB blind or how to improvise the lost coupling? Thanks.

thanks. Just to be extra careful, I bought some flame retardant spray that I will apply to the canvas top of the boat blind.

I may be wrong but I don't think propane heaters release CO -- CO2, yes, but it's less harmful. The units have an auto shutoff in O levels drop.

Thanks. Very helpful. The accident you describe sounds awful -- a close call. As I understand it, these propane heaters have auto shutoffs when the oxygen is low.

I just bought an old 14 TBD classic and love it. Come cold weather, I'd like to put a heater in it and considered a Mr. Buddy type propane heather. I'm concerned though about operating the heater in the boat, which of course has a portable gas tank in the stern for the outboard. Anybody have...

Mike, So, I've been thinking about your dog platform and how I might duplicate it. Question? How did you fit the platform around the radius of the cockpit without interfering with the canvas blind, which snaps to the bow, as best I recall? Thanks, Lou

Yes, good advice. I will trailer it with bags inside, top on the cockpit.

I recommend Diane's bags, and she was willing to add grommets to one of the bags to fit my needs on the bow. They seem well made. Sounds like a nice set up for your dog ... any photos?

This is helpful. I think I will build something like it. The pup's still learning ... getting him to stay put is the current trailing challenge.

Wet is okay, but I tend to take it conservatively -- slow speeds, avoiding the really windy days or heavy chop.

Can you say more about the flat place for the dog? Was the dog hidden or visible? I was wondering about how to handle the pup in the boat. I've got an American Water Spaniel, and he has to stand on two legs to get a good view out of the boat.

I'm glad to hear that it worked out for you ... any other tips on customizing the TDB? I'm considering LED lighting inside and maybe a bar light on the bow, though the bow light would require an extra step in setting up to achieve concealment.

When trailering, I will fold them into the boat ... likewise when I'm at my hunting location. They will be out only when the boat's under way.

Let me know how it goes. The good thing about the bags from Diane's is that they have six slots in, and she delivers in a week or so.
