Thanks Eric I have a small lake just down the road that I frequently hunt (appropriately called Weed Lake) and motors of any type are prohibited. I use it there a lot.

Thanks Jeff. The seat slips out and becomes the backrest. The floor is also removable if I don't plan to lay down. It keeps the weight down by a few pounds.

    small boat project

Sorry to hear you lost it. I read the plans and promptly threw them away but it did give me a good place to start from. And for the record, I did not use a level. It was simply a straight edge for me.

    small boat project

It was a lot of fun to build and even more fun to take on hunts. It rows with ease, hides easily, and this old man can toss it in the back of the truck for transportation. This winter I think I will build my own oars.

    small boat project

I have been absent from the site for a while but I haven't been idle. Over the years this site has been a great inspiration to me and I have had a lot of fun following different projects and threads. Boat builds in particular keep me fascinated. Last year I decided to build a little puddle...

    A tornado of mallards

    Good Boy Otter!!!

Once he figures out where the ducks are coming from he will sit still and watch. Love that natural drive to retrieve.

    Something that makes me cringe

Vince, I have the luck to live in Alberta. I am surrounded by prime hunting opportunities and what would I do with all those ducks? :) Unfortunately I don't have as much time as I would like to hunt. I am out of action right now and I'm not sure when I will be able to get out this year. I...
