Actually the museum was quite a bit more than I expected, so I didn't take a camera. I did get my daughter to take a few images with her phone, I'll see if I can get them posted up. The website has some nice images.

The rest of the story... Finished the shaping and sanding of the handle and hoop, then used Tung oil to put a finish on.

Next I hand tied a net bag. Will be shaping the handle, drilling the hoop, then lacing the net onto the hoop.

We use a landing net to pick up ducks from the tender boat when we layout hunt, but I wasn't happy with the one we were using, so I decided to make my own. Picked up a piece of straight grained White Ash, cut out a handle and built a form to shape the net hoop. Need to use many clamps to...

No I haven't had it in the water yet. It has a 42" beam so I'm curious how it will behave under paddle power. I want to play around with a couple of different approaches to determine the best position to paddle or pole from.

I've had her retreiving out of it in the back yard already. We'll move to a shallow water area the first chance I get.
