Phoenix Poke Boat - Micro, didn't even know they were made?

Heard good things. A friend has the two person model. These look funny to me, very squat.

    PSE Stinger 3g -NDR

Tore my right bicep (primary arm) off last December. Got it reattached but can't draw a compound bow. Was hoping someone may find a use for it. Crossbow only for me now. Includes 32 arrows (some cut to my draw length) and mechanical release. Draw weight 50-70lbs. Length 25-30" $250...

Leak proof fuel storage in boat

I also did this until I found out they sell ethanol free in New York and stock up heavily when we go to lake George. I still have the original can, and I just refills it with my own mix. Cheaper than the $20-40/gal for the premix. Great for all the motors i dont use often. Then it goes into the...

    Herters decoy line storage question.

Long lines will work Ken. I have the same issue, as you probably know. I like the idea of an H weight, or the circle ones that you have, with a clip on them that you can attach to the decoy. Wrap the weight with 15' and a clip, slam it on the decoy when you get out. I'm still working out a good...

    Chesapeake Bay Retriever question

Not sure if this is related but we have friends with a chessie who is a sweetheart who is intact. That being said he is hung like a horse and loves to play with himself constantly. Not sure if he's just bored or if there's anything related to him being intact. He was never properly trained as a...

    Summer Doldrums

Dani, I agree with your sentiment, I haven't had any bathroom reading from this site lately. I'll be starting the rehab of my two man layout and adding a skeg to make it towable per conversations with Steve Sanford sometime soon. Something to entertain the crowd soon enough.

    Eider Decline Research

We can go back to Wood gasification, like the ideas for cars were in the 40s. Love seeing those old ideas.

    Eider Decline Research

I hypothesized there would be a glut of used sea duck boats for sale. Still waiting to see an 18 at a reasonable price for when my kids can hunt with me. So far everyone thinks less useful boats are like the housing market and are worth more than they were new

    What did I luck into?

They're all junk. I have some space in the transfer station located in my basement where you can recycle them with good environmental conscious [whistle]

Older Dave Clark Estuary - Paint Removal Help

I would assume you can scrape that old paint off with a 5 in 1 tool, sand it, and spray it again. Not sure on the brass. By the way, how much does that boat draft? I heard the estuary draws 6", then 4", then 2". Just looking for clarity

    AWS shedding

Agreed tod. The wife wants to meet beaver when we visit dan and jack next. Appears much less stocky than our friends' chessie who's a big friendly blob but a comfortable 90lbs thin. She wants a WPG, which I can't agree with. Even with the heater on the boat, which they will both be fighting for.

    AWS shedding

Question for folks with AWS. What is the shedding level? We have a Brit and she's rated as a "mid level" shedder, seems to have two major shedding events during the year, and a constant stream of hair coming off throughout the remainder, but nothing like a lab. I saw online AWS are rated as low...

    Boat Cover Recommendations?

I got a similar one as Dani off of Amazon. I trailer with it, and the blind stays up so it got a few rips in it. It lasted 2 years in the CT darkness. That being said, I probably could have gotten 3-4 years off of it if the bow didn't have an ice berg on top and when we went to take the cover...

    Duck Hunter Surveys

Last year I participated in the CT survey. This year I participated in the RI one (though I didn't hunt there this year) and the wing survey. Then I received a request for the CT one at the end of January 2022 for the 21-22 season. I haven't filled it out yet, I called and left a message with a...

    Towable layout bottom

Thanks Scott. This would work if I had a winch on the back of the tender. This pumpkinseed is just way too heavy to try and lift up by hand or just a rope in itself. It's a good idea though, something I will consider when screwing around with this.
