    Tomorrow is the day

Bang a metal feed pan a bit as your preparing to put down food. I start that right off with pups so they associate noise with something good, in this case food. Got a bird wing? Take it with you tomorrow and after introducing yourself to pup tease him a bit with it and see if he,s interested...

    Socks

Midway Heavy weight Merino wool hunting boot socks and nylon liner socks under those do the trick for myself. If buying Merino check sock specs for highest merino content. Big variations in percentages.

    AA Broadbill

The Blackjacks were built in a few places I believe depending on current owner of the company. The one I had was built in Kentuckey if I recall correctly. I think they are currently being built by new owners of TDB brand.

    2 man pontoon boat

If starting out with an old pontoon boat hull I don't imagine you'll find any shorter than 16' . That said with no wave action in that location and spud poles installed on all 4 corners I,d build in on nothing less than a 12" long deck x 6' minimum width. If using plastic drums i,d extend width...

    AA Broadbill

Yes, Broadbill was a bit longer than Blackjack. Steve if flotation foam under floor hasn't gotten wet your lucky. Simply from sweating without leaks. They were prone to leaking at seam between bottom and top cap as underway water rides along that seam. Mine was pop riveted together with the rub...

    Areomarine 2 man duck boat

If you decide to go the hydrofoil route I,ve got a like new one to sell. Installed it originally on an 8 h.p. Merc for a very short period of time then removed. Believe it fits up to 25 H.P. motors. Still have original packaging ,instructions. It will make a hull run flatter & pop on top quicker.

My son has a husky that will bring fur critters home . Sometimes dead, sometimes alive. Everything from fox's to racoons to possums. Thankfully no skunks. Wood or Webbing? - thatch rail decisions

I,ve not used it with salt hay but should work great and probably a lot quicker to install. Those black nylon pad eyes can be bought in bulk on ebay and of course stainless screws. Beauty of the stretch cord is if & when it finally gives out its a quick replace and if you need more tension its...

Any duckboat's only as good as its trailer

I,ve used for several years a wooden handled scratch awl as my heated hole punch for nylon webbing/Cordura nylon. Actually the same thing i,ll use to open a small tube of 5200! Works great and the tapered scratch end terminating in a 1/4" shaft allows for variation in hole size. Also works...

Wood or Webbing? - thatch rail decisions

The wood is beautiful but 3/8" o.d. shock cord ran thru nylon pad eyes about every 2' Is very functional as either a place to zip tie grass bundles or a place to zip tie a plastic bird netting base to attach rafia or other materials to. You webbing works as well.

Any duckboat's only as good as its trailer

Nice redo on the trailer. Its a cryin shame that anyone would be hauling a boat on trailer as it came to you. Its a wonder that he hadn,t damaged hull with that set up.

Really depends on the cerakote application. Like every thing else some are better than others. At the least don,t leave that salt on finish.
