    NDR: Table pour

Through the heat and humidity last week I got the rest of the hexagons cut out. Finally had some time and decent weather this weekend. Got a seal coat of resin down and adhered all the hexagons yesterday. I set them with quick set epoxy, placed them a few at a time, put some heavy weight on...

We do not play Catan (or any board games) as much as we used to, but we are a bit obsessed with odd shapes and I have always loved the hexagons of the Catan board...but what is up with hexagons showing up everywhere these days...seems every company logo is being updated to incorporate hexagons???

Time is such a limitation...finally getting an opportunity to work on this project this summer... Milled down some construction grade Doug-fir to the dimensions I wanted for the frame: Cut the tabletop base from 3/4 particle board, glued and pocket screwed the edges with the desired lip to...

    Epoxy brands

I think I am an anomaly here in that most of my experience has been with West Systems. The underlying reason for this is: In the 90s when I built my canoe, they had spectacular technical instructions in print Same time, I could buy it at the local West Marine store (no affiliation that I know...

Nice find! It seem odd when I passed you...duck boat, out of season, no motor or anything inside I could see...wondered if someone found a treasure. Welcome, you found the best resource on the web for duckboats, ducks, boats...heck a myriad of things too long to list...

    Whatcha Listening To?

While I am not a big podcast guy, I do like this...history told from the perspective of some who lived through it (or sometimes retold from their descendants). BBC Witness History

    Lubricating a Table saw

What about using brake cleaner on it to remove any old lube with the caked on dust, then use a lube like Eric or Dave recommend? We have this kind of issue on rack and pinion greenhouse vents, they need lube to move freely, but then the dust sticks and the heat and sun bakes it in place. Chuck

    Starting on the new shop

Not so sure about that... And ...ah that makes sense...I was looking at the background thinking if that was Wyoming, someone really did a lot of planting to build up such a buffer around the homestead area. Personal orchards tend to take up a lot of space for a lot of time without a lot of...

    Starting on the new shop

Nice Tod, I like how you incorporated the metal drawers under the bench. A LOT less work than making drawers from scratch! I used a couple of the shortest roll about tool cabinets under my bench but I am always short on skinny drawer space, I might have to steal that idea (but then I'd have to...
