Thanks for all the replies. I know this might sound crazy but I would rather collect both Commons and Red Breasted before a King Eider. I know Red Breasted migrate all the way to the Gulf coast but are Commons kinda like Mottle ducks stay within a few certain states?

I had a 20hp Mercury on it and it was scary. I'm gonna start with a prop and go from there.

That is with just me in an empty boat. I had a buddy of mine get in the boat with me to kind of give me an idea of how the boat would perform loaded down and it wasn't where I wanted it to be.

Either way both boats are what you are looking for. The other has a more open layout with a newer motor (that's worth the asking price) plus the trolling motor. I guess it depends on the math as to which one you will have less in and one you could easily get your money back out of if you needed...

You won't get quite the performance you would out of motor with a shear pin prop as you will a blow thru. I would go with the other one but that's my $.02

Talk him down to $1800 becasue you are only able to read one side of the motor. I didn't even see that until now.
