Tha that is true. But no one would hunt waterfowl with that size tss shot. Infact you would be hard pressed to find anyone that would bigger then size 6 tss for waterfowl. And while still lethal at extreme ranges on waterfowl, your not going to have the ability to kill someone at those...

I have been hunting waterfowl, deer, hogs with tss for 6 years now. This season will be number 7. I have yet to find a single tss pellet in any duck/goose/deer or hog I have killed with it. I use number 8's on waterfowl mostly, sometimes some number 7's. Number 4 buck tss at 1600 fps will go...

2 3/4. I stopped shooting 3 inch shells the day I started loading tss and tss/steel duplex handloads. 12,16,20 and 28 all use only 2 3/4 inch hulls. If Beretta came out with a line of shotguns that were chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells only. I would buy two in each gauge and never look back.

It definitely wasn't my first choice. I grew up shooting fixed full choked barrels. First shotgun I ever had that took screw in chokes was my Beretta 390. And still for years all I ever used was full choke for lead shells and IM for steel shot. But when I started getting into loading tss. I...

July 2025 What's on your workbench?

Not been so bad so far. Just got the last of the three broke off motor mount bolts it the block. Will pick up some new mounts tomorrow and then work on the transmission mounts and distributor. Drilled a pilot hole and the easy out, pulled them no problem. Been a good day. Think it's time for a...

July 2025 What's on your workbench?

Well didn't fall out, just the passenger side mounts broke off. So it was leaning severely to the passenger side. Yea I was in the yard moving things around, boats, work trailers, getting my deer lease trailer ready to go do some food plots and blinds. Got a pretty big hole right on the edge...

July 2025 What's on your workbench?

Not sure it would fit on my work bench. But my hunting vehicle just went down in a big way. Motor mount bolts sheared off, engine dropped, shattered the distributor, broke the transmission mounts as well. And apparently I have a bad oil leak as well 😂 😂 😂 Got the engine jacked back up and...

See for me its a condrum. I use anywhere from LM,M,IM for clay target practice. But with my handloads for ducks I have to use a cylinder. Anything tighter and I'm basically shooting a rifle at them until they get past 30 yards. Because of my tss handloads, tss just naturally patterns super...

    Steel Shells at Rodgers OUtdoors

When it comes to waterfowl ammo. It is totally worth it to load your own. Might not save money, but the loads you make will be vastly better then any you can buy. I load tss or tss/steel duplex now days but back before I got into tss. I loaded steel shot. I had a 1 1/4 oz load of 2 steel that...

    The Mac’s keep biting

Looks like y'all had fun. Funny I grew up in the southwest Louisiana marsh's and loved chasing specks and reds. Went to work out in the Gulf slinging big iron. And lots my taste for salt water fishing. Still love to eat me some reds on the half shell cooked over mesquite 😁 😁 😁

The Modern Solo-Diver Hunting Rig By Duck Water Boats

Might just do that. I had looked on that website earlier but didn't see the model of boat in this thread figured it must be a prototype.

Thank you. Man a couple of modifications to that hull design and it would killer for us down here in the marsh.

July 2025 What's on your workbench?

I still have the original recoil spring setup for mine. I changed to a sure cycle setup years ago. I swap them out. Sure cycle for hunting, OEM recoil spring and recoil spring tube for spring/summer clay shooting. If I can find new OEM parts to stash away. She will continue to be my primary...

July 2025 What's on your workbench?

Bout to do my yearly preseason spring replacement on the ole 390. Sadly I think this will be her last tour of duty. Getting increasingly harder to source few certain parts. She has had a good run 250k plus shots. Bought her the year Beretta put them in Walmarts. Also doing my preseason call...
