    Hen Paint???

Have to order Golden's paint tommorrow and can't find my painting notes. No real time to look for them either right now. I am painting divers and puddle ducks. Far as I can remember I need Raw Sienna, Raw Umber, Burnt Umber, Titan Buff, Titanium White and Bone Black. All of these will be 16 oz...

Marsh boat and chocolate Lab female for sale

If I am not mistaken the boat is called a Feather-lite. It had a trolling motor mounted in it(where the hump is) and you steered it by a control panel on the inside of the gunnel(can be seen in pic). Not sure if they made them anywhere else but there was a factory that made these in my home...

    Jerk Rig Question

We use them all of the time and they are worth their weight in gold. Anchor(can be a real anchor, stake or tree), snap swivel, a 20' length of 550 cord, a 10' to 20' length of bungee cord, 100' of 550 cord and a handle(I prefer a handheld extension cord keeper so I can roll the whole rig up on...

    Goose silhouette pattern needed

Don't have any laid out on a grid but have some goose floater patterns. I will send you some if you PM me your address. Another thing you could do is search for Canada Goose in Google Images and find one you like, print it off and blow it up to fit your needs. Staples can do some very large...

    E-Allen repaint question

I trestle coat mine and then paint with Golden Mattes, JansenArt Traditions and Chromas. Never had a problem with it coming off..... even by scraping it on concrete.

    Waverider Decoys?

Anyone have pics of the decoys from this company? They made cork decoys that looked really good. As I remember they sold decoy rigging as well. Had several of their catalogs at one time but never did get to order anything. Was wanting to see some of their work and possibly model some decoys...

    Dust Collection and Microns?

Found a 2 HP dust collector but it filters 5 microns. I was thinking the lower the number the better it filters but the ad said this will get the smallest harmful dust. Is the ad wrong?

Hoping to take birds I have not shot before, anyone want to trade a trip?

If you want to hunt Arkansas with us you are more than welcome. Given what type of weather and water we get I could more than likely help you fill out: Redhead Widgeon Gadwall Pintail Goldeneye Canvasback Wood duck I would say Bluewing Teal but it's rare to shoot them later in the...

Squaring up Tupelo for carving stock??

A buddy gave me some Tupelo but it all looks like it was just hacked off of the bell. It is not square by any means and some pieces are almost triangular shape. Got enough for quite a few teal bodies if I could square it up but not sure how to go about it. Any thoughts?

    Restle Coating with Fiberglass Dust

Why not use sand? It wouldn't rot. From my experience the paint seems to soak into sawdust making a very durable coating. I have made hundreds of decoys using Titebond II and acrylic paint and don't have to worry about the paint nor rotting.

    Canvasback and/or Redhead Decoy Pics

Thanks everyone! I have been drawing and re-drawing all morning. Finally think I have one that will work for the head pattern I draw up a while back. George, I might take you up on the offer of the patterns one day. You just rest and let yourself heal up.

    Canvasback and/or Redhead Decoy Pics

I have several pattern books and have drawn up several patterns and none of them suit me. They all are either too narrow or too clunky looking to suit me. Trying to figure out how to get a nice looking decoy that rides right. Anyone mind posting pics of Canvasback and/or Redhead decoys that they...

Great looking decoy! I have always loved the bills on your birds. Any chance we could get you to do a step by step on carving bills?

    Decoy carving hero...

Not from Michigan but seeing decoys made by Ben Schmidt is the only reason I ever wanted to start carving. Just something about his birds. Would love to find copies of patterns that he used. Sean, Is there a place a person could get that book?
