    The original owner bought it to preserve the history of a all original sam hunt sneakbox unfortunately passed away a few years back then family sold it to the second owner who i know well and he sold it to the gentleman that is selling it now.

    Rich this is all original Sam Hunt i personally know this boat and have seen it. its never been glassed or in the water the only thing that has been done to it is a fresh coat of paint it is a amazing sneakbox !

    Rick, In the barnegat bay area i would say the outboard became prevalent after ww2 but most sneakbox builders built for sailing but most never sailed them most rowed them and towed them. They would use the centerboard trunk with at larger dagger board to stick in the mud to hold boat steady...
