    "Go Anywhere" Woodies

I see what your saying Vince, and agree to a point, but these will sit on any branch that will support the weight of the decoy, and any rock, regardless of the shape. I think you would run into some issues with a simple base like you are describing. It would work most of the time, but not all of...

    "Go Anywhere" Woodies

I had a request to carve a pair of full bodied wood ducks that would be able to "cling to a branch or be propped up as if sitting on a rock on the side of the pond". So the carving was the easy part, but had to wrack my brain a bit as how to make them multi-purpose. I came up with the idea to...

August - Whats on your workbench?

Thanks Dave! George, the caribou antler was from my time in Alaska. I found a shed, my wife one upped me and found an antlered skull which hangs in our entryway amongst my euro-mounted deer skulls. Here is Georges latest work...you're a heck of a busy guy!

I was thinking the same Pete since we nixed CWA decoy day this year, my schedule sucks though so I won't even bother trying to pick a day that would work for me, I'll just hope the stars align for whatever day works for everyone else.

JULY - What's on your Workbench?

Very nice work across the board per usual... Here is a Canvasback urn decoy that holds the ashes of a close friends dog. My father used his laser engraver to customize the keel which was made from Mahogony left over from my sneak boat build.
