    Underdeck Storage Tray

I made a similar shelf for the D&K Scooter. Well, actually I repurposed one I had made for the Burdick Scull years ago. I added outdoor carpet to the bottom so that is slide easier and would not be wood on wood, or in the original case, wood on fiberglass.

Marsh Stake for Staking out Boat during Tide Change

It certainly would be, but we are hunting open water, and there is 4 to 8 ft of water on top of the 4 to 8 feet of mud. We never get out of the boat.

Marsh Stake for Staking out Boat during Tide Change

When we hunt open water in VA on the tides, we use a pair of 15ft fiberglass poles, anchor poles. These serve mutiple purposes for us; 1. the mud is 4 to 8ft thick, and no anchors have held fast in any wind 2. the use of a pole fore and aft keeps us positioned and not swinging on a anchor as...

I have been using mahogany on my motorboards. Though that supply may br drying up as the friend has been liquidating his massive inventory as he nears 2nd retirement.

    More projects acquired.....

Eric, I currently have 4 boats in queue. 2 are more contemporary, a Wilderness Systems Chesapeake kayak that was crushed, and a fiberglass sneak that was gifted to me that I intend to use for paddle in hunts. Getting in and out of a poke boat in hunting gear is just not safe for me anymore...

    Dodge and Krowl Ice Scooter

This 1905 Dodge and Krowl has been fully refurbished, and took best in show at the SSWA show October 2024. It comes with the sailing rig, and everthing needed to use as a self-tending layout boat. She can be sailed, rowed, towed, or motored. I have towed her at speed, and have propelled her...

    Sam Hunt BBSB

I need to free up some of my dry storage for the new projects. I have too many boats that serve very similar purposes. The Sam Hunt BBSB is a wide, displacement hull. This is the first boat I took on, and modeled it very much like Dave Clark's Estuary. You will see several details and...

    More projects acquired.....

Tom, I am sure I will be looking for some help from the scooter sailers in the area.... this has chain plates for a stayed mast, and in the bags of sails, I don't know if any of them are for this hull.... I got a bunch of spars, but again, not sure any are for this hull. Heck, even the mast...

    More projects acquired.....

Back in August, Maria and I took up trip to upstate NY, it was a dual purposed trip; 1. visit Maria's cousin's family 2. visit Pencil Brook Farm to pick up the Tom Miller duckboat. But then a month later, another vintage hull is posted on FB. It appeared to me to be an Ice Scooter, with the...

Looking for new way to rig decoys

Problem is, they still get tangled up whether I put them in a bag or leave them loose in the boat. Mark, storage method is what really dictates rigging in my experience. Early on, I was using plastic decoys with scoop weights. I would figure 8 wrap them and then the scoop with bungee would...

    Jim Bosanny

Damn, that sucks..... I first met Both Jim and his Dad, when Wisboz flew into DC on his Honor Flight. Rufus Brinn and I met him at the terminal with a sign for Duckboats.net and a photo of him as a serviceman. Wisboz and I traded emails several times, and I have his father's Jones hat and...

    BBSB Pond Box Build

If you let the oar lock socket, I suggest you bore all the way through to ensure a drain.

    Long line clips- too strong

How many do you need? I have quite a few that I no longer use. Smaller size and wire gauge so easier to work.
