Trying to save my back! MAXXHaul Hoist a Winner!!!

Per the description of your work area this may not work for you. I bought this lift at Harbor Freight when I had to replace the transom in my Lund 1775 and it worked great. I see they are currently on sale new for $200 though I've seen quite a few used on FB market place...

Near Tragedy on the PendOreille River -- Long read

I was remembering this story today and thought everyone could benefit from it. Those of us who have regularly hunted in the ice usually appreciate the dangers but a reminder never hurts.

    Al

Sorry to hear that news. Stopped in to see him on my way to Arizona 6 or 7 years ago. He was as nice and genuine in person as he was on here. He'll be missed.

    Vintage Gunning Box

Ditto what I was going to reply Vince. Marsh hunting isn't nearly as prevalent as it used to be but still a very peaceful endeavor.

Body booted on a local lake a couple of times. Fun for sure though I had leaky waders if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the report and photos Steve. They brought back lots of memories of my own beaver trapping exploits going back to 1976.

Very nice sentiment Steve, thanks. I too find myself doing a lot of fond 'remembering' lately. There sure have been a bunch the past 73 years and I'm grateful.

Need a copy of a recipe PLEASE

Yes, I have one - loose leaf in a 3 ring binder. Pretty sure I printed it out off of a pdf that I'm not sure I even have anymore. That was a somewhat contentious time with the DHBP - best laid plans, etc. limited it's distribution.

    NDR-cataract surgery

I had cataract surgery 4-5 years ago. Monocular lens were used so I do need glasses to read or tieing a fly to a tippet but my far vision is way beyond my best expectations. Pre-surgery vision was 20/40 at best - corrected! Post surgery vision is 20/10+2. Vision acuity is fantastic in all...

    Lawnmower Engine Problem

In my limited engine knowledge the symptoms are pointing to a bad valve guide.

    Cooling system woes continue

Carl, I've got a limited experience with OB cooling systems but have replaced a couple of impellers over the years - my thoughts: 1) Linkage issue is separate from cooling system. 2) Are the impeller vanes installed correctly? Once you have the lower unit off, turn the prop while watching...
