    an origin question

Dani, I just found 5 pages of supporting threads after searching "stump dance" starting in Feb 2007 but no origin so it had to have started on the old forum. Lots of snickering and wink-winking though.

    an origin question

Carl, that was Travis Bruce, a classic story teller - wish he was still posting here. Your memory is the same as mine. I don't recall the exact bantering but the cast of characters and time of year are correct.

    Dumb question

Great story Dani, hadn't heard that one before. That sounds like something Steve would do. 👍

    Dumb question

Interesting concept. I'd think ducks would be attracted to colors that represent basic needs such as breeding, food and safety. In addition to colors it'd likely also be movement or lack of same.

Lights for Setting Decoys in the Dark and...

Larry, When I set long lines it's very rare to set up in the dark. Just not necessary. As you know, divers don't start moving until way after first light giving you plenty of time to set your rig. On the rare occasion when I need to set in the dark it's head lamps + a spot light at the ready...

    DP-40/401 or ?

No reason to use a shotgun on a mosquito Dave when a flyswater works just as well.[cool]

    DP-40/401 or ?

After finding DP 40 on ebay for $135/qt kit it's on to look for regular auto primer. The primer shouldn't be the most expensive part of this project - sheeesh

    DP-40/401 or ?

I agree Eric. I've never seen anything like it either. My project is a 2ft x 7ft section of floor in my Lund that will see foot traffic of course. Tod, thanks for your input.

    DP-40/401 or ?

15-20 years ago we were using dp-40/401 epoxy primer with great success. Is it still preferred and available? No, not a new boat, fixing up a current one.

    Mountain Quail

WOW Dani, that's a fabulous plan. I can't help with logistics but 2 thumbs up for your plan. I'll likely be in Arizona in January for bow Javelina & deer, plus gamble's quail, doves and maybe even ducks. Wooohooo.

    Lil? Ducker fiberglass skiff

Bob, I had one back in the mid '80's. Serviceable but a bit light weight. Would crab a bit when paddled but nothing severe. I think oil canning was pretty common with that bottom construction. Not a bad skiff and can't remember why I sold it.

    Glue question

My advice would be to contact a taxidermist who specializes in euro mounts and/or uses dermestid beatles for skull cleaning and ask for their recommendations. Here is one I googled up but have no experience with: https://www.skulltaxidermy.com/index.html.

    Need some tire/rim education please

Dani, Goodyear Endurance are what came on my trailer and so far, with 12-13k miles are performing just fine. After this thread debuted I did a little digging and found out that these Goodyear tires are now made in the US. Goodyear seems to have put a lot of engineering effort into them -...

Not to worry Bob, after 15 years it's hardly noticeable[cool]
