Interesting concept. I'd think ducks would be attracted to colors that represent basic needs such as breeding, food and safety. In addition to colors it'd likely also be movement or lack of same.

When I set long lines it's very rare to set up in the dark. Just not necessary. As you know, divers don't start moving until way after first light giving you plenty of time to set your rig. On the rare occasion when I need to set in the dark it's head lamps + a spot light at the ready...
After finding DP 40 on ebay for $135/qt kit it's on to look for regular auto primer. The primer shouldn't be the most expensive part of this project - sheeesh
I agree Eric. I've never seen anything like it either. My project is a 2ft x 7ft section of floor in my Lund that will see foot traffic of course.

15-20 years ago we were using dp-40/401 epoxy primer with great success. Is it still preferred and available? No, not a new boat, fixing up a current one.

Bob, I had one back in the mid '80's. Serviceable but a bit light weight. Would crab a bit when paddled but nothing severe. I think oil canning was pretty common with that bottom construction. Not a bad skiff and can't remember why I sold it.
My advice would be to contact a taxidermist who specializes in euro mounts and/or uses dermestid beatles for skull cleaning and ask for their recommendations. Here is one I googled up but have no experience with: https://www.skulltaxidermy.com/index.html.
