Arkansas Opener Video from Public Land

I think that is more ducks in one morning than I see in a season. The mass start from camp to hunting area was interesting, although nothing I want to be part of. Maybe in my younger years, I did a lot of foolish stuff then. I also consider shooting them once they have landed in the decoys...

And to think I passed up a copy years ago at $250. Out of curiosity I just checked The Art of Making Decoys Book 1 and found it on Knotts Knives website for $65! I can tell you for certain that book is a must have as well. Tons of information.

    Working decoy November

Great job! I for one would be very interested in how you flocked the decoy. Especially the blending on the side pockets. Very nice.

    neoprene jackets

I've tried them in the past Greg, in similar activities to yours, and they worked great for that. The issue I had was with the zippers! Salt ate them up within a year. I replaced them 3 times with different materials, but something was always metal. In the end I went back to wool and waxed cotton.

    Vintage Gunning Box

Eric, I've never owned a gunning box but if I had to pick the nicest wooden chests I've ever seen it would have to be a Gerstner Machinist tool box. I'm trying to imagine how the interior layout would be, but I'm coming up short. My two cents

    Homer decoys- righting themselves, tricks?

I'll go with Todd on this one. More weight, low down. To try maybe your local tire store has some used wheel weights you could clamp on and try? Most of the shops in my area cant wait to get rid of used weights! Once you figure out how much weight then you can make a mold. And where is the Dixie...

    Shells

As long as we are on the subject of shells, does anyone know of a source for 2 1/2" 12 ga. lead game loads? I like the Gamebore variety, but can't find them recently. Thank you in advance.
