"H-Bar", "T-Bar", or any other Effective Floating Solutions

Trying this from my phone, so please forgive any mistakes. The y-boards are a2x4 ripped in half with a hinge on either side allowing it to fold. Typically each leg has a silhouette decoy on it. Instructions used to be on the Mighty layout boys website, and might be in the tutorials here. To...

"H-Bar", "T-Bar", or any other Effective Floating Solutions

I have used a Y-board set up with floating decoys at each end to support a flyer in the middle before. Worked well for seaduck.

    Belgium a-5 mag duck

Mike, I have shot the same gun with a 30 inch barrel for about 5 ears with steel shot and zero problems. My opinion (no facts) is that the steel shot shells have become so much better over the years the concern is not as great. I also don't use anything larger than #2 shot.

Has Anyone Built This BBSB ?

I know there were multiple variations of the classic BBSB in this book: http://www.amazon.com/Building-Classic-Small-Craft-Instructions/dp/007142797X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434453724&sr=8-1&keywords=john+gardner+boats

    NDR--Upland Gun

Jeff, the Franchi 48al is a fine gun, and one of the more reliable semi-autos you will find. It would be a fine choice. Something that has been rattling around in my brain has been the CZ Ultralight. I have a couple of their SXS and think they are a good value. If you have a chance take a look...

    FROZEN HANDS

Hand warmers. I don't shoot with gloves, and can't seem to do anything else with them on either. About the only thing I have used that works are the rubber MITTENS with a wool liner for warming my hands. My usual set-up is: a pair of handwarmer in my jacket pockets, another in the mittens...

    Merrymeeting Bay Gunning Float

Frank, I would love to see a build of a Merrymeeting Scull Boat. If I am not mistaken, John Gardner has a set of plans and lines for them in Classic Small Craft. I have been pondering them for years now.

    Bandsaw Problem

7" is a pretty good sized piece. I have had issues with the wood closing behind the blade and sticking the blade during big cuts as well. I use a wedge pushed into the cut line to ensure the blade doesn't become pinched and a sawdust trap.

    Old Time Hockey

The Cup is coming to Boston Nate..Believe! Although I am a little worried about Game 7 in Vancouver, what happened last night? Everybody was a step behind the pass, just missed the checks, and 2 degrees off on the shots.

    More Purple Swamphens

The way I've got it figured Dani. You could go to the "Gun Club" and try to shoot little orange clay discs that are supposed to mimic a birds flight. OR You can get into the swamp, see all the nature you could ask for, and pull...

Decoy donations for the Lee Harker Memorial Hunt...

Getting it balanced was a Trick! I would love to know how the decoy worked, if in fact it's been used. Thanks for the encouraging works. Jeff Coats was kind enough to send me the photos to work from.

    Great Bay Scull

Brad, I haven't seen Dan Butcher in a couple years, but he is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I believe he lives in Strafford NH. I'm sure he would help out.
