    How to bend aluminum tubing

I'll look for it. Thanks. Think if I had a person hold the 1/2" aluminum against the boat that I could stand at the other end I bend it by hand? I have heard of filling the tube with sand and doing so. I like Dave's idea and it is the best way. $150 to make one hoop isn't economical for us...

    Two ducker catamaran

I have a double ended marsh boat that hat I put a homemade mud motor on. It is similar to a ducker. I have pictures of a few different ideas if you are interested. One way would work. Ice if you venture out in a single ducker and can then be transferred to a double ducker.

    How to bend aluminum tubing

I am going to build a blind on the Lind Ducker. Last blind I built worked well but was a lot of work with a lot of moving parts. I want this one to be simple. I have a tubing bender for the back part of the blind but the front part I want to follow the contour of the boat. How do I bend the...

    My new boat blind

I've used raffia and it works. Also takes to spray paint real well if you want to add highlights or whatever. What I don't like about raffia. Constantly getting tangled in everything Absorbed water - a lot of water Would freeze in the colder weather Would stay wet for a very long time...

    Yet another wader question

Thanks. From how wet I got for how short of a time I was in the water I'm thinking more than pinholes. Nothing visible. Former 3M'er and actually worked in the Marine Trades group. 5200 and its variants are pretty impressive products. I think I even have a tube or two at home.

    Yet another wader question

Have a pair of Cabelas breathable waders that he's served me well. Had to seal a couple catch seams last season and used the Awuaseal product. Worked well. Used the waders a few days ago and it now seems I have a leak in the butt area. I don't think it is a seam. It maybe a general wear area...

Grumman Sport Boat mud motor needed

I have a mudskipper longtail and it works great. The twister is getting bad reviews from a couple of people who had the cable break and are being sour pussies. I have my 6.5hp on the back of a 105 lb lund ducker. Haven't gottent the hang of it yet as there is ALOT to learn. This motor...

    Ducker Transom question

So the rehab on the Lund Ducker is going slowly. Most of the reasons are good, and a few are not so. I finally got the transom put together. I wanted to make it "pretty" but functional and durable was of higher importance. Used 1/4" X 20 stainless bolts of various lengths to bolt the outside...

Can I just paint my transom or do I need to seal it first

Thank you Steve. Kind of figured this is the route to go. Finally getting warm enough here to get some work done on the boat. It needed way more work than I thought. You've never had that happen to you I'm sure. Mark

Can I just paint my transom or do I need to seal it first

Before installing my plywood transom, do I need to seal it before painting it with a good paint such as Lou's FME or Parkers Paint? My plan is to just paint it good on all sides before installing it an then it will get sprayed again when painting he boat. Is this a mistake? The inside of the...

Need help with identification of hull

I don't know about the 6.5 hp motor. Maybe Ed can chime in here as well as I think he has owned every duckboat ever produced. I have a Hoefgen Duckboat (double ended marsh boat that weighs 65 lbs). A few years back I was home building mud motors out of small Chinese motors (1-1.5 hp). These...

    Dumbest Question ever

Did some researching on the Hernando Beach area and all the canals. Guess there was some mining down this way and they used the ex cess mining material to build up the home sites. Along with dredging. Also found out that the "development" we were staying in was the only one of the 3 with...
