Joe,
Love the decoys you have created they will hunt!..The flatties you made reminded me of some flatty silo decoys I made in about 2003 by combining the flat top profile with a flat side profile of the birds (old decoy design)...Then incorporating two hinges and a clasp mechanism to allow...
Looks like the pair I wore all week while hunting in Manitoba...Does he make a stout size 34 in those? Will saddle soap clean them?
I like that...Pretty nice way to step outside the norm and practice your carving skills..

Purchase what you feel you would like. I have never heard a Quack Shack call in use or blown one myself. Your preference. I do like the short barrel in the call that seems like you can make all kinds of sounds on very short breaths instead of blowing your face red everytime an approaching...
My marlin spike knife...A life saver when getting tangles undone...Besides my Filson jacket and bibs...But here in Texas waterfowl hunting, last years khakis cut to make shorts, running shoes, and a long sleeve shirt...

I have noticed several algeas similar to what you are noticing on my grandfather's farm years ago. A small creek emptied in from the Mountain Valley plant that made drinks with high sugar contents...The spent sugars and other ingredients would leach down in the main creek...In late fall the...
Kyle,
I would recommend a 11-87 youth model 20 gauge synthetic...It fits my small frame at 5'7" very well...After 10 years of hunting dove through duck it finally had its first maintenance of changing the main recoil springs in the stock...They were rusted very badly...If you do decide to go...
Oh, so pretty...They are thick on the Texas Prairie...Gets sick seeing them every morning after two in the bag...Wonderful pictures and decoys on the water...

Thanks for the detailed information...I knew information but not the full story...I have the decoys put up in storage due to my wife not wanting my decoys laying around the house...Next time I am over I will check the name of the carver...The paint and body profile look very similar...
Hey Pat,
Does the last decoy you are trying to identify have the name "Hall" stamped on the bottom...I own two ringnecks that look very similar in design but the keels have been removed. Hall was not the carver but it was in his decoy spread. I bought both of them at Westlake in 2009...
Dave,
I have spent many of season with birds falling to those In-Vadm...I am certain that is the only decoys you would need to put out in large number rig of decoys...
Nice Benchmarking technique...

You know the banter and laughter shared with friends during the hunt, after the hunt, and throughout the year...I can't sit here without a smile on my face reading through the various forum post of all us contributing and not think about the smiles you guys and gals share...Tonight I was running...
Mr. John C. Hancock or should I say Dr. Hancock?
When you miss a bird it is no longer be claimed as "I missed a shot"...Wikipedia states that you "HANCOCKED IT"... :) TeeeHEEE HEEE HEEE!

A picture is worth a thousand words...Looks like I will adopt your idea and knock a dozen out this year to hunt in the tall rice stubble here in the Texas Prairies...Nice hunt!
