Mine is very functional, but grossly over built. I would do similar, but reduce the bulk significantly. I can stand on mine! It is very nice to put the decoys in and lock it and keep eyes, and rain out.

Great minds think alike! I had not seen this before but made a 2 piece cover for the Sam Hunt I restored. Mine overlaps, and the clasps allow for a padlock to secure what is inside.
