    December Workbench

I am in the home stretch now. All that is left is to put the finish and decals on them. I've been working on the build videos the entire time so that is just about complete too. I'm really glad I took this project on. I expanded my repertoire with the patternmaker lathe and made some jigs I...

Estuary with 25 hp Yamaha in Ottawa, Ontario

To me it looks wet from perhaps being cleaned up for sale pictures. Hard to tell from those pictures.

Estuary with 25 hp Yamaha in Ottawa, Ontario

I'm surprised this boat isn't long gone. The new price to me is crazy low given the age and condition. Dave ought to buy it back and resell to someone on his wait list.

This Season's Project.. 1928 Benjamin Hallock Gunning Scooter

@Steve Sanford the force is strong in this one. Anthony, such nice work and the video, as always, is a pleasure to watch. I got a note on IG after I reposted you story telling me what an awesome boat that is. I made sure to let them know it was your work and not mine!

    November work bench

Thanks Henry. I forgot to mention. I'm videoing the build process for folks enjoyment. The videos aren't a blow by blow but rather provide a very quick look at the sequence of steps I used for the barrel and insert. It will probably be a month before I post them but I thought I'd mention it.

    Whatcha Listening To?

This song has such a cool groove while throwing a lot of different sounds in your ear. Jeff Lynne is a brilliant songwriter. What's that you say? You want proof he's a brilliant songwriter? Okay, here you go.

    November work bench

Got pulled away from the giant Hambone duck calls but finally this afternoon I was able to get back at it. Plan to focus on them all day tomorrow. Today's progress was making a jig for cutting the tone boards. The diameter of the call insert is 1 1/2".

    Question For Retired Hunters

To those of you that no longer hunt but still consider yourself a duck hunter (as you should) after years of participation, when did you know it was time to call it a career? What lead you to your decision? Was it health, loss of desire, frustration with the sport, poor success rate, loss of...

    Whatcha Listening To?

With four Grammys under the belt and their second album causing a buzz with two more nominations Wet Leg has tapped into some energy I've not seen since I don't know when. This band might just be poised for superstardom the likes a rock band hasn't seen in years.

The irony about that song is about a year after they released it their picture was on the cover of Rolling Stone. 😂

Too hot… but finally pulling the trigger

In all my years of duck hunting I've never come across a moccasin during the season. Before the season a big yes, but during hunting season they are hibernating. I've seen A LOT of moccasins over the years and a few copperheads too, but only one rattlesnake which was just this past summer...

    Fall so far...

Tod Your absence was noticed but who can blame you. Gorgeous backdrops to your adventures. Tell me about the duck hunting. Any competition? Is it all open public land or is it more like a WMA situation with a lot more rules that plain public land? By the way, the house and shop look nice.

    Whatcha Listening To?

Everyone had pretty much written them off and their label didn't want to promote them anymore. Then they dropped this masterpiece. .
