    Carving Logistics Question

Are you thinking about carving with power? If just with knives and chisels and rasps, get a good shop vac and lay a big piece of cardboard on the floor with a chair sitting on top...then sweep up after making a mess. A bandsaw out in the garage would work as you don't spend enough time on it to...

Ducks, Dogs and Decoys on DirecTV tonight

I know Jeff and I always like to see someone I actually know. Jeff is a good guy and I'm like the others that would rather see the works than a pile of bloody game.

Gunsmith advice on my Benelli M1 - is it true?

Jim, I say SHOULD. Don't always have the luxury to do it. I use RIG on my guns so they don't have thin oil that runs with gravity. If you look at old firearms at gun shows and used racks, you can usually see a dark ring where wood and metal come together. If you try to work on one, you will find...

    Need Some Advice

I'd make the whole interior removeable in one piece...then I'd bolt it to the gunnels.

    opinions needed please.

Too late. You colluded with him when you accepted the Pintail and now you would have to drag your clients to court as witness' on the gull. If you have an in with the CO, tell him who to watch out for. If you know the "aunt", tell her you met her nephew duck hunting and forgot his name...if she...

    some MORE motor questions...

What stuff on a daily/weekly/monthly basis can yo do without that cost 5/10/15 bucks? Start sticking it in a savings account and you would be surprised at how quick you can come up with enough for a good 20-25hp motor. A good 3hp is going to nick you 200 at least....bank what you got and get...

Gunsmith advice on my Benelli M1 - is it true?

All firearms SHOULD be stored muzzle down so oil and cleaning fluids don't run down and into the stocks. It can cause wood to soften, discolor and crack and sludge in a plastic. I hope you get your gun fixed up right. Shells seemed to be the biggest problems with the ones my friends have.

Follow up on rocky river shallow running

Just went to Cabelas website and they have about 5 manual jack plate set ups. My biggest wory would be betting water to the intakes if the motor is raised enough to miss rocks and prop cavitation causing over revving.

    Questions on Sneakbox stuff

The thing is, there is only 1 moving part in a 2 stroke carb...not including the float which just rides up and down on a pin. The only reason I can think of to replace a carb is if someone boogered up the threads in the jets, tried cleaning it with acid, broke a bowl or the shaft that opens and...

    Layout gunning...

Pete, weren't you here when Ky brought all those to my house the night before an MLB shoot? He had some Strunk dekes to which made a great show greater.

Follow up on rocky river shallow running

I've seen them with a bolt that you turn to jack up or lower the motor and I think they were made for 30 hp or so so it wasn't a real heavy thing. They did set the motor back a few inches. I think I saw them in the Cabelas Marine catalog. Wish I could remember the Manufacturer...I looked at it...

    Questions on Sneakbox stuff

Hold on....brand new carb?? Did he melt all the plastic parts in it when he "soaked" it? What motor is this and what year? If he didn't dis assemble the thing completely and clean it properly and if the throttle shaft and it's races aren't completely worn out...and put it back together with a 20...

    Gun Safety... real stories...

Closest I've been is when I had to pull a plastic driver out of my leg from a Ramset shot. We didn't know that we had the pellet driver shots and were horsing around.Bullet wounds are ugly and a close range shot wound is fricken nasty looking. You can google up pics if you need to see.

    Gun Safety... real stories...

You got it first, middle and last on that Tom. My buddy and I came out of the woods at dark after Elk hunting. We were unloading our guns and it was quiet. All of the sudden, there was a blinding flash and a concussion wave as my buds 338/378 Weatherby went off and into the ditch. I think I...

Those are some real beaut's. I have yet to boat a redhead.Stayed in the cabin during the MLB hunt with a bad back while Ryan Werden went out and shot a sweet drake.

I know it and am sad to say it is my generations fault. Peace Love Dove and we aren't going to make our parents mistakes. Most of the Hippies have become Lawyers, politicians and investment bankers. And, for the first time in my life, the next President is younger than I am.....
