Modern Day Bernegat Layout! Four Rivers

My buddy just got his migrator a couple weeks ago. I have a refuge runner and last year was my first time hunting from it. Incredible marsh boats! I've never seen one with the spray shield but that looks like the ticket for the salt marsh!

    Maine 2021

Looks like an incredible time! I was checking out your tent setup online. Very cool! I wonder if the marketing department knows that they have Michael Meyers from "Halloween" pictured on their website too. Nothing says relaxation like a serial killer chillin' by a campfire with his Tuff...

Fight It, Or Not? (Any Cops Here Feel Free To Weigh In. My feelings Won't Be Hurt If You Say I Deserve It)

I'd pay it and let it go. The juice isn't worth the squeeze. Law enforcement is out to serve and protect, unfortunately, the LEO you encountered took things personally. No telling why some officers take things to that level because it doesn't bode well as a public servant to approach folks...

    Gifting game

Tagging is usually where folks seem to get in trouble with the lawman. Here is the law regarding termination of possession and gifting. If a game warden or federal agent is wanting to get a warrant to go through a person's personal freezer at home, they would have had to do something seriously...

Meet Coal and this former Jersey guy---

I've hunted around Malta and Lake Bowdoin back in the late 90's. I'd love to get back up there! I heard the drought hit them hard this year. That'll be tough on all wildlife for sure.

Meet Coal and this former Jersey guy---

Beautiful pup Al! I bet that was a beautiful drive too! I would have had to stay in MT and chase ducks and upland birds for a day or two!

    Hurricane Ida

I just got back last night from my second trip to our camps. We worked to chainsaw a tree off a friends camp and did more cleanup. The crazy thing was finding 2 boats in the marsh. One small flat boat and the other was a Godevil mud boat, they both have probably been in the marsh since...

    Hurricane Ida

Whereabouts are y'all Jode? I'm hearing it'll be a month for power to be restored in some areas. We plan on going down this week to work on repairing camps to try to dry 'em back in and keep anything from being stolen. I heard hwy 23 to Venice opened up last night...

    Hurricane Ida

Just about everyone I know in S Louisiana has impact from Ida. Roofs, boats, campers, homes all gone. Many lost their places of employment, self employed lost their businesses. They are in bad shape. Our camps are in the Gulf marsh about 18 miles south of Venice, La. They survived 100+...

Shoutout to those up North who do Wood Duck nesting box work!

I just wanted to express my appreciation for the nesting box work Anthony and all y'all do up North! The Wood Duck continues to be the #1 species of harvest here in SC. I maintain nearly 40 nesting boxes down here myself but I'm certain your Northern WODU's make the trek and winter in SC...

    Waterfowl Wealth

Great post Anthony! At 55 years of age I have been blessed with more waterfowl wealth than I could ever imagine. The years of hunting in N. Michigan with my dad and many years hunting with my sons here in SC and Louisiana since they were small children. 13 years with my yellow dog and the...

    Motor Issues

Before removing carbs pump primer bulb will running at higher throttle. If motor stays running I'd be eyeballing the fuel pump.

    Motor Issues

Will it run while pumping the primer bulb?
  16. P

    Motor Issues

Sounds like carb related issue but consider checking (or replacing) fuel pump (and replace fuel filter) too. If pumping the priming bulb under load causes engine to run properly I'd start with a good carb soak and cleaning and then move to fuel pump.

I was able to bring home something I have dreamt about for years

That's a killer looking rig!!! Hellbender makes a great boat! We have some fellas here in SC that use them.

    County Line 1038

County line makes a slick rig! Does the ghillie blanket feel pretty durable? That looks like the way to go vs. using raffia grass!

    Shallow Water Pole Anchors

Would a Cajun anchor work? We use them in the S. La marsh. Spear them down in the mud and tie off to cleat on the boat. For deep water, give it slack off port / starboard or bow / stern and spear down 2nd Cajun anchor, tighten and tie off.
